Taking a Digital Approach to Physical Asset and Facilities Management
When Al-Futtaim was established in the 1930s, the only way to keep track of assets back then was a good memory and paper records. Today, this progressive company is embracing a digital solution from GE that offers a new way to maintain thousands of assets and facilities.
The GE Digital ServiceMax platform solution will be deployed on mobile devices used by more than 800 users, replacing Al-Futtaim’s current manual paper-based processes within its Facilities Management Division. This project is expected to go live in the first quarter of 2018.
ServiceMax will provide Dubai-based Al-Futtaim with the ability to track, control and monitor performance, automate data collection, and deploy GE’s cloud-based software to empower its technicians to deliver a completely seamless customer experience, with real-time access and visibility across the business.
By implementing cloud-based ServiceMax field service management solutions, Al-Futtaim can maximize the efficiency of plant facilities, buildings and sites, thereby boosting business growth by improving the customer experience and boosting customer retention.
“Al-Futtaim is a forward-looking partner, and their commitment to foster digital solutions within their own organization showcases their place as a leader,” said Ali Saleh, Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer for GE Digital Middle East, Africa & Turkey.
GE’s ServiceMax creates data collection tools and solutions for the 20 million people globally who install, maintain, and repair machines across dozens of industries as the leading provider of complete end-to-end mobile and cloud-based technology for the sector. www.servicemax.com
