Imagine if every time you brought your car into the garage for servicing, they set up the shop floor and the work plan based on the specific needs of your car and its condition? That’s essentially what Royal Air Maroc is now getting for all its GE-engine-powered aircraft.
The airline recently selected a five-year, TrueChoiceTM Overhaul agreement with GE Aviation for the maintenance, repair and overhaul of the CF34-10E engines that power the airline’s four EMBRAER E190 aircraft.
With this agreement, GE Aviation now provides TrueChoice Overhaul services to all of Royal Air Maroc’s GE engines.
TrueChoice Overhaul provides time and material overhauls with tailored work scopes specific to shop visit objectives, economic priorities and ownership horizon, and help return aircraft to revenue service faster, while reducing overall cost of ownership.
In addition to the CF34-powered E190s, Royal Air Maroc operates 37 CFM56-powered Boeing 737s, four CF6-80C2-powered Boeing 767s and 1 CF6-80C2-powered Boeing 747. In December, the airline received its fifth GEnx-powered B787 Dreamliner.
Beyond aircraft engine and maintenance, repair, and service support, GE Aviation and Royal Air Maroc are working together to advance the airline’s innovation and digital strategies to enhance aircraft systems.
