Do you want to increase innovation in your company? How about make it easier to attract and retain great people? What about getting higher sales and more customers? Fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace can help you achieve all of these.

That’s what research shows, including a Forbes Insight study of more than 320 CEOs from large multinational corporations across the globe. On innovation it found, “Senior executives are recognizing that a diverse set of experiences, perspectives, and backgrounds is crucial to innovation and the development of new ideas.”

On hiring, it found, “In the fight for global talent, diversity and inclusion policies are being designed specifically as recruiting and retention tools,” says the study.

There is even a direct business case for diversity, according to a Deloitte paper. It cites statistics showing that more diverse companies achieve higher sales, improved market share and more customers than less diverse companies.

Across the GCC, diversity and inclusion are fundamental topics for companies large and small. Discussion evolve around how can corporations tap into female talent, encourage local talent to join the private sector and and manage employees from diverse backgrounds effectively.

Strategies for creating a more diverse and inclusive workforce, case studies and CEO roundtables on the topic will be at the center of the Diversity and Inclusion Leadership Forum to be held February 17-18 in Dubai. GE, which has made diversity of its workforce a key priority to help it better serve its customers, is a Gold Sponsor of the event. Senior GE executives will share their insights and experiences on diversity and inclusion.
