Do you get a thrill from seeing powerful aircraft up close on the tarmac or in the air overhead? Are you an aviation industry professional or enthusiast? If so, mark your calendars and buy your tickets! The Dubai Airshow 2013 is just around the corner.

Not only has it moved to a new location at Dubai World Central, which features the newly opened Al Maktoum International Airport, but the Airshow also has added Skyview, just for aviation buffs.

Skyview provides a great way for those not attending the Airshow to view the same amazing flying displays put on for show visitors, but from a dedicated grandstand right on the runway, complete with great food and entertainment. Held daily during the show (except opening day), the flying displays will include flying acrobatic teams, the Airbus A380, troop carriers, helicopters and fighter jets.

Running November 17-21, the Dubai Airshow itself is bigger than ever, with 1,000 exhibitors expected from around the world, along with a forecasted 60,000 trade visitors. Among its new features is GREEN@Dubai Airshow, a conference and dedicated area focused on sustainable technologies and systems for the aviation sector. GE Aviation’s GEnx and GE90-115B engines are examples of such technologies. They both are part of GE’s ecomagination portfolio and are designed to be more fuel-efficient, thereby helping airlines lower emissions and fuel costs.

Industry professionals can register for the Dubai Airshow here, while those who want to attend Skyview can buy tickets here.
