Radiologists from Algeria and across the Maghreb region gathered from April 26th to 28th, 2013, for the 6th edition of the Pan-Arab Radiology Congress in Algiers. Held for the first time ever in Algeria, GE Healthcare was among the main sponsors of the event.

During the congress, we showcased the cutting-edge in radiologic technology and we organized a series of workshops and symposium to discuss some of the latest trends in medical imaging with many of our customers. We shared our vision for the region at the opening ceremony and also at the closing dinner where we continued to position GE Healthcare as a sustainable partner.

Commenting on GE Healthcare’s participation in the congress, Alain Messi, General Manager for GE Healthcare Algeria said: “I was personally energized by the fantastic participation of all our teams at the stand. It was exciting to see such strong customer engagement and to maximize the congress to reinforce our ongoing commitment to healthcare in Algeria”.

“I would like to thank Alain and the whole Algeria team for a very productive Pan Arab Congress. I saw a lot of passion, energy and professionalism at the booth which is building our credibility and together with our localization of talent and expertise is widening the gap with our competitors”, said Farid Fezoua, President & CEO for GE Healthcare Africa. “I got a lot of positive feedback and congratulations from the key opinion leaders and customers who attended the show. GE Healthcare had a tribune on two occasions to reassert our vision and long-term commitment to Healthcare in Algeria which I think was very well received.

All in all, it was a great show with huge energy and with over 500 customers visiting our GE Healthcare booth, generating well in excess of our target of 250 customers leads.
