Intelak Idea Lab: From Blue-Sky Thinking to Wheels on the Ground Business Plans
In the beginning, even the best business idea is no more tangible than a cloud in the sky. Getting the concept onto paper and into action is not just a question of luck. That’s why a new three-week training program is helping aspiring Emirati entrepreneurs learn the process as they work on start-up ideas related to the aviation travel industry.
The Intelak Idea Lab is a collaboration between the Intelak Aviation & Travel Incubator and the Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for Small and Medium Enterprises Development (Dubai SME).
The goal of the three-week program, which launched this week, is to have participants develop a clear and tangible business plan based on their aviation- or travel-related idea.
The lab includes five modules, covering topics crucial to building an effective business plan, including value creation, market research, audience acquisition, prototyping, and creating the perfect pitch.
International experts are leading the workshops for these aspiring Emirati entrepreneurs, who also will gain access through the three-week program to world-class mentors from the Emirates Group, GE, and Etisalat Digital.
The three companies are the founders of the Intelak Incubator, which graduated its first cadre of start-ups in May. The second intake of start-up teams will begin in October.
The Intelak Incubator gives innovators, entrepreneurs, and students from across the UAE the opportunity to submit their business concepts, and receive capital funding and incubator support for ideas that enhance the aviation-travel experience.
