Helping Close the Water Gap in the Gulf

Water demand in the Gulf region is expected to grow by 40% by 2020. Yet the most common sources of water in the region – thermal desalination and ancient water aquifers– are costly to the environment and government budgets. We need new solutions that are more sustainable to help meet our growing needs.

GE is working with local authorities to implement more efficient desalination technologies, such as reverse osmosis, and to unlock the vast potential for water recycling through water reuse treatment systems.
