GE supports 3rd Saudi Radiology Technologists Conference

The Ministry of Health 3rd Saudi Radiology Technologists Conference was recently held in Riyadh at the King Fahd Medical City. Over 1100 participants were from the Ministry of Health, NGOs and Private Institutions. Participants were: Students, technologists, Radiologists and administrative staff making it the largest such conference in Saudi Arabia.

Opened by HE Dr. Mansour Al Hawasi, Deputy Minister of Health for Executive Affairs, the three-day Conference was held to serve as a platform for professionals and students to share the latest developments in the field of medical imaging, and highlight latest trends, technologies and developments in this domain through lectures and workshops.

A wide range of sessions covering radiology diagnostic imaging and related clinical applications were held, alongside with workshops, one was conducted by GE “CT Dose Reduction Technique”

The Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia selected GE Healthcare to be the exclusive partner for this event, demonstrating the strength of this public-private partnership in the Kingdom. At the event, GE Healthcare conducted three presentations covering Angiography, Services and MRI where they spoke about future products and the challenges to improve and impact Clinical Practice, Patient Experience, and Technologist Use.

GE Healthcare has a strong presence in Saudi Arabia for more than 25 years, and employs over 200 skilled professionals. The operations of GE Healthcare in the Kingdom are aligned with the Saudi Vision 2020 that aims to provide higher levels of quality services of healthcare for the population. GE Healthcare has also been working with the Ministry of Health to help build a sustainable healthcare model under healthy imagination.
