GE Sponsors Event Where Middle East Oil Industry Meets
With the oil price down more than 50% from its high last year and analysts split on whether the oil price will remain at current levels for one or two years or will recover during 2015, the just concluded 19th Middle East Oil & Gas Show and Conference in Bahrain was full of fascinating discussions on and off the stage.
As one of the main sponsors, GE Oil & Gas was in the middle of this conversation, presenting its technologies and solutions in the upstream, midstream and downstream sectors, participating in panel discussions and running technical sessions.
Mahmoud Kassem, Vice President of Drilling & Surface and Well Performance Services MENAT spoke at a session on building in-country capacity that also had representatives from Saudi Aramco, Petroleum Development Oman, Total and Chevron.
Organized by the Society of Petroleum Engineers, MEOS 2015 provided insights into the region’s mega oil and gas projects, and offered presentations on new technologies, successful case studies and topical discussions led by international industry leaders.
To address the volatile oil price, the MEOS 2015 conference featured for the first time a ministerial panel with ministers from OPEC, the UAE, Bahrain, Egypt and Kuwait.
The MEOS 2015 exhibition is the most established showcase of oil and gas products and services in the Middle East and every year attracts national oil companies, international oil companies, major operating companies and oilfield service companies.
