GE sponsors beach cleaning activity by ‘Keeping Kuwait Clean’

GE sponsored the beach cleaning activity organized by ‘Keeping Kuwait Clean,’ a non-governmental organization working towards keeping beaches and parks in the city clean through volunteering.

More than 70 volunteers took part in the clean up the beach initiative including 50 employees and their family members of GE in Kuwait. They took part in cleaning the Messilla beach in Kuwait, with the volunteers clearing as much as 5.0 Cubic meters of trash each sweep and giving the area an aesthetic facelift.

National Executive of GE Kuwait, George Bou Mitri said the partnership of GE in the campaign is part of the corporate social responsibility initiatives of the company in partnering with local organizations for the welfare of the community and the state of Kuwait.

In addition to volunteering time and effort for the campaign, GE also provided refreshments and food as well as gloves and dust filtering masks to facilitate the clean-up activity.

GE has a strong presence in Kuwait for nearly eight decades, partnering with key sectors including energy, water, power, aviation and healthcare. The company supports community-oriented initiatives that contribute to the overall welfare of the people.
