GE showcases its ‘smart’ WattStation electric vehicle recharger at WFES 2011

General Electric marked its participation at the World Future Energy Summit 2011, ongoing at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, with the unveiling of its ‘smart’ WattStation electric vehicle charger in the Middle East.

Launched in 2010, GE’s WattStation is an easy-to-use electric vehicle (EV) charger that enables fast recharging at home and on the road. It is designed to help accelerate the adoption of plug-in electric vehicles by significantly decreasing time needed for vehicle charging.

The GE WattStation is one of 80+ ecomagination certified products. Ecomagination is a company-wide initiative to conceive and construct pioneering technologies that help customers address their environmental and financial needs across the energy, water, healthcare, transportation and aviation industries.
