The Arab Health Exhibition & Congress opens today in Dubai, and some of the technologies that GE Healthcare will display are part of a 100-year continuum of pioneering health-care innovations that include the world’s first X-ray fluoroscopy scan, he first commercially available mammogram technology, and the world’s first high definition CT scanner. Even more, GE has 100 years of experience with X-ray technology, 50 years with mammograms and 30 years with MRI and ultrasound.

GE Healthcare is one of the largest participants at Arab Health, with a 525-sqm booth designed to mirror the hospital environment and provide insights into GE’s most recent health-care innovations.

One such innovation is the 510(k)-pending SIGNA Pioneer Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanner. It’s MAGiC (Magnetic Resonance Image Compilation) software generates multiple contrasts from a single scan, allowing radiologists to see more patients and medical facilities to cater to increased demand.

Another cutting-edge innovation being presented is the Vuluson E10 ultrasound, whose software is so advanced that it allows clinicians to view babies in the womb with amazing detail. The ultrasound provides doctors with images that show the depth and structure of a baby’s blood vessels, heart, brain and other organs.

As a Platinum Sponsor of the event, GE Healthcare is extending its support to several of the 18 Arab Health conferences, including “Big Data,” “Leaders in Healthcare,” “Biomed Leaders” and “Radiology.”

Arab Health is the largest multi-track medical congress in the Middle East and is now in its 40th edition, offering quality medical education to medical professionals working in the region. More than 11,000 medical professionals are expected to attend.

Supporting the conference experience itself, GE is launching the “GE Arab Health” mobile app for iOS  to enhance the visitor experience at the GE pavilion. The app uses geo-targeting to deliver content to the mobile device about GE products and solutions, based on his/her location on the booth.

If you are at Arab Health, visit the GE Healthcare pavilion at Sheikh Saeed Hall, Booth No. S3B10.
